Mrs. Eddie Lou Garvin

Mrs. Eddie Lou Garvin, 92, of Hanahan, a homemaker and wife of Frank A. Garvin, was called home by Jesus for her eternal rest Monday, December 14, 2015. The relatives and friends of Eddie Lou Garvin are invited to attend her memorial services on Monday December 21, 2015 at Highland Park Church at 11:00 o’clock. Burial will be private at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Eddie Lou was born September 23, 1923 in Fort Worth, TX , a daughter of the late O.E. Williams and Eva Law Williams. She was a longtime resident of Hanahan, SC since 1949, a strong Christian wife, mother and grandmother who actively shared Christ with everyone she came in contact with. Eddie Lou was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years and loved to study God's Word. She was a Poll Manager for Berkeley County and loved to travel the United States, Europe, China and Far East. She won several awards (Regional and National) for her Needle Point. She loved to have her family and friends over for dinner and fellowship. Eddie Lou is survived by her husband of 70 years, Frank A. Garvin, son: Dr. Abbott J. Garvin (Alice Rybolt Garvin) of Winston Salem, NC, daughter: Sallie J. Driggers (Larry) of Hanahan, SC, grandchildren: Courtney Garvin, Erin Miller (Matt) , Will Garvin (Samantha), Tad Driggers, Jacob Driggers (Isabel), and Ramey Schutz (Doug), great grandchildren: Biakal, Rybolt and Garvin Miller, Maddie and Jack Garvin, Willa, Abbott and Eva Schutz, Corbin, Palmer, and Rowan Driggers, sisters: Ruth Cupp and Pat Mizzell. She is preceded in death by her brother Ray Williams. The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center for the care they gave Eddie Lou.
