

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Franklin, age 56, of N. Charleston, SC, who departed from this world on March 25, 2024, enveloped in the love of her family. Elizabeth, born to Henry and Barbara Thrower in Charleston, SC.
Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished by her beloved husband, Scott Franklin; her daughter Miranda Oikawa (nee Prevett); and her mother, Barbara Thrower (nee Causey). She also leaves behind her cherished niece, Melinda Duncan, and her three adoring grandchildren: Fenix, Kylie, and Lily. Among her loved ones are also several nieces and a nephew who held a special place in her heart.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, Henry Thrower; her brother, Mark Thrower; and grandparents, Elbert and Essie Causey.
Elizabeth's devotion to her family was unmatched, and her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones, she also found comfort and a sense of accomplishment through cross-stitching and crocheting. Time was never wasted and always treasured while engaging in friendly competitive battles of both card and board games with her husband, Scott.
Although she has departed from this world, her spirit lives on through the memories and love she shared with those closest to her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Elizabeth's life and share their memories at a visitation to be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. A chapel service will follow promptly at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Elizabeth's memory to the Susan G. Komen foundation, to raise awareness for breast cancer.
