She is survived by her children: Jean Scheppler (Joel); Paul Jerome Grillo; Pauline Margaret McBee (David); Susan Marie Bruski (Ed), and Mark Eric Grillo (Darlene). She was preceded in death by her husband Augustus John Grillo and a son Gregory August Grillo.
Jean and her husband raised six children as an Air Force family. She was a hardworking and humble homemaker who loved the Air Force life. Devoted to her children, she was the bond that ensured they were always able to accept every new ‘house’ as their ‘home’.
Through all the twists and turns her life took, she was always caring and giving to her children.
Beloved wife and mother, and a dear ‘Nina’ to many grands and great grands, she will be remembered by her generous heart and love for family. She lived life through simple pleasures. We will miss her dearly.
She once wrote (in part): “The happiest time in my life was when you kids were born. I did love that time—a part of me divided into six. Please don’t cry when I leave this earth but remember the time we laughed and all the good times we shared.”
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
