

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Crosby McLeod, Mother Blanche (Law) McLeod, Father William Cecil McLeod Sr, son Jerry McLeod; brothers William Cecil McLeod Jr and Robert McLeod, Step daughter Teresa Masters.
Ellie is survived by his sister Sara McLeod Skelton, brother, Jessie McLeod (Janice), son Allen O. McLeod, daughter Ellen McLeod Cassity (Eric). Step sons Robert Grady Whittemore JR (Kathy); Edward Whittemore (Teresa); step daughters, Victoria Cummings (Timothy); Rhonda Hogg; grandchildren Chrissi McLeod Worrell (Clifford), Nichole McLeod Sinner (Curtis), Beck Cassity, West Cassity, Eliza McLeod, Rebecca McLeod, Madeleine McLeod, step grandchildren, Kimberly Spencer, Allan Master Jr (Amanda), Shawn Cummings (Ashley), Tyler Cummings (Jenna), Hannah Whittemore, Cody Whittemore, Trenton Hogg, Kayce Grooms, Elizabeth Fellman (Kyle), Ashlyn Whittemore, Edward Whittemore Jr, and Faith Whittemore.
Ellie was a US Navy Vet, Firefighter for the City of North Charleston and Charleston Naval Base. Ellie loved Hunting and the outdoors, taking the grandkids hunting and fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports, and rarely missed a game. He was a diehard Clemson Tiger fan. He was a loving Father and Grandfather. He enjoyed the prayer group at First Baptist of Bonneau.
Friends and family members may attend the Memorial service, officiated by Pastor Ken Owens, on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021. Viewing from 11am -12pm and Service from 12pm – 1pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 RIVERS AVE, North Charleston, South Carolina, 29406. A burial will follow at 1:00pm, at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
