Fletcher M. Mincey Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive visitors at 10:00 am until the time of service.

Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 pm, at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Fletcher was born on June 25, 1933, in Horry County, SC to Fletcher M. Mincey Sr and Mary Frances (Norris) Mincey. He attended school in Horry County, SC.

Fletcher married Ethel Edwards on December 19, 1952, in Charleston, SC.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. After his time in the service, Fletcher began his career with American Bakers as a Route Salesman for 20 years before retiring in 1993.

Fletcher was a devout Baptist, an avid fisherman and enjoyed tending to his garden. He particularly enjoyed spending time outside in nature.

Fletcher is preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Mary Mincey; his sons, Danny and Larry Mincey; his wife, Ethel Edwards Mincey; and his granddaughter, Danielle Mincey.

Fletcher is survived by his children, Cynthia Hensarling, Timothy R. Mincey, and Anthony L. Mincey; grandchildren, Scott (Anna) Hensarling, Amber (Jason) Jones, Kevin Hensarling, Toni Mincey, and Jennifer (Bobby) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Emma, Hailey, Addie, and Olivia; sister, Eula Mae Mincey; brother, Donny Mincey; and a host of additional relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
