Mr. George J. Kelly

George J. Kelly, 86, of Summerville, S.C. passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at his residence. George was born February 22, 1929 in Meridian, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Jasper and Mary Kelly of Millbrook, Alabama. George retired from Charleston Naval Shipyard. He was a mason. His wife, Nancy F. Kelly, predeceased him on May 21, 2015. George is survived by his daughter Sandra Kelly Bragg, son Kevin Kelly (Jan), son Danny Kelly (Maria), three grandchildren, Jason Bragg (Crystal), Jonathan Bragg (Jessica) and Zaiden Kelly. Five great-grandchildren also survive him, brother Gene Kelly of Goose Creek, sister Shirley Kelly of Millbrook, Alabama and his many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his sister Lulama Erneberger. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, S.C. 29406. A chapel service will take place at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2015 with burial following at Carolina Memorial Park.
