

Born on December 3, 1939 in Conway, South Carolina, to Wendell and Julia Williamson, George was a man of deep faith, boundless love, and unwavering dedication.
A proud graduate of Conway High School, George was best known for his hardworking nature, his loving spirit, and his helpful heart. He dedicated his life to his family and his community. As a retired delivery driver from Merita Bread Company, George spent his years making connections and serving others with the same selfless attitude that he brought to all aspects of his life. George was a man who cherished the simple joys of life. He loved good food, but even more, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often sharing stories of years gone by that will forever echo in their hearts. His greatest gift was the way he made everyone feel important and loved. Whether it was offering a helping hand or lending a compassionate ear, George’s legacy will be remembered through his acts of kindness and his warm, enduring presence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marie; sons Dale Williamson of North Charleston and Mack Williamson (Phyllis) of Moncks Corner; grandchildren Ryan Williamson (Casey) and Tiffany Craven (Tyler); great-grandchildren Daniel and Cooper Craven, Caleb Williamson, Joshua and Jacob Long; his sister Becky Cooper of Conway, SC; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.
George was predeceased by his parents, Wendell and Julia Williamson, and two sisters, Eunice Sellers and Blanche Collins.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406, with a chapel service at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest thereafter at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Though he is no longer with us, George's love and warmth will continue to inspire and uplift those who were blessed to know him.
