Geraldine W. Gatlin, 85, of North Charleston, wife of the late Russell A. Gatlin, passed away at home on Monday, July 1, 2019

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday evening, July 5, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, in North Charleston. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, July 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.

She was a graduate of Macedonia High School and Trident Technical College. She worked and retired from the Charleston Naval Hospital.

For many decades, she was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Her love and devotion to family, especially her two boys, was simply boundless. She reveled in God’s creation and shared that love through her kindness, selflessness, and good humor.

Jerry, as she was known to family and friends, was the youngest child of the late J. Harley and Sulie White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Cleveland and Haskell White, and a sister Frankie Lee Mills.

Surviving are two sons, Vincent James Gatlin (Lynn) and Wade Lewis Gatlin, a grandson, Christopher James Gatlin (Madison) , a great-grandson, Isaac James Gatlin, a sister, Betty Kodama, and many nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to your favorite charity in her memory, would be appreciated.
