

She is preceded in death by her father, James D. Keigans, and her grandmother, Margaret Fewox Keigans. She is survived by her mother, Gloria Carmen Winter of Charleston; her sister, Brenda Bivens of Charleston; her brothers, John Keigans of Lexington and Jimmy Keigans of Summerville; her daughter, Terri Handsom of San Antonio, Texas; her grandchildren, Corey, Marissa, and Mauryce of San Antonio, Texas; and her great-grandchildren, Malachi of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kingsley, Kayson, Blaze, and Serenity of San Antonio, Texas.
Gloria spent many years working as a dedicated waitress and server, while also being a loving homemaker. She found joy in knitting, sewing, crocheting beautiful pieces for her family and friends throughout the years as well as gaming. She also enjoyed playing pool and was part of a league, even traveling to Las Vegas for a tournament with her team.
Gloria was a true animal lover, but she held a special place in her heart for the many chihuahuas she cherished throughout her life. She will always be remembered for her good sense of humor and the way she always had a joke to share. Her love, kindness, and presence will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Carolina Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406, US, on March 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
