Gloria Joyce Owens

She was born May 18, 1938 to Dorothy and Clarence Butler in Columbia, SC.

She is survived by 2 sons, Donald “Don” Owens (Angie) and Theodore “Ted” Owens (Brenda), 1 brother, Clarence Butler, Jr. (Evelyn), 2 sisters, Sharon Bracket, and Michelle Miller. She had 8 grandchildren and13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Butler, her husband Rev. Charles Owens, a son, Frankie Mazzell, a daughter, Diane Belton, one granddaughter, Rebecca Owens, a sister, Jacquelin Knight, and a brother, Tim Butler.

Gloria is a member of New Journey Community Church. She loves to sing, and attend her church. She loved working with the babies at church and daycare.

A Visitation will be held on November 9, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel from 12:00 pm 10 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends are invited to attend fellowship and food at our home; 234 Mellow Ridge Rd, Dorchester, SC at 3:00pm.
