Mrs. Burgess was born in Cleveland, Tenn. The daughter of Thomas McPheeters and Beulah McPheeters. She was a graduate of North Charleston High School an a member of Northwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Bestor (Andy); 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held Friday October 31, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The Celebration of life will follow from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm. The Burial will be at 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
