Helen Adkins Oliver

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the graveside in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406 2. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the Salvation Army.

Helen was born in South Norfolk, Virginia, on November 5, 1938, to Stanley and Viola Hardison Adkins. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Helen cherished spending time with her family and friends and was known for her warm and caring nature. Helen dedicated over 50 years of her life working as an Executive Assistant at Exchange Investment Corporation.

She is survived by her nieces, Patsy Boyer of Gladstone, MO, Peggy Silverthorne of Shawboro, NC, Paula Nuckols of Gladstone, MO, and Crystal Wilson of Johns Island, SC, as well as many great nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Viola Hardison Adkins; her son, Gene Alexander Oliver, Jr (Buster); her niece, Pam Moore and her siblings, Jacqueline Adkins Nuckols and Stanley W. Adkins, Jr.
