Henry Marvin Proveaux

He is survived by his three sons, Henry Alan Proveaux, Charles Adrian Proveaux, and Benjamin Edward Proveaux.

Henry was born June 12, 1940 in Charleston, SC. He attended Hanahan, SC schools and graduated from Hanahan High School in 1960. Henry earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Charleston Southern University with a double major in Mathematics and Physics. Henry worked at the Kennedy Space Center as an aerospace engineer and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard where he worked as a nuclear engineer. He also served on North Charleston City Council in the 1990s. Henry was a member of the Charleston Shag Club and the Charleston Elks Lodge.

The Visitation will be held on Thursday March 31, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The Funeral Service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Carolina Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
