Hermage Fredrick Coward

Fred is survived by his cousins Paul and Carl Poston and his close friends Monica Mumme and Richard McConnell.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents Hermage Brazlle Coward and Ellen Poston Coward.

More than anything, Fred was a car enthusiast. He was on a drag racing team. He was a mechanic for race cars, he started out rebuilding Corvettes and then went on to work on Porsche 356. Fred served in the United States Army doing Special Services. He worked at Westvaco as a Paper Inspector, where he eventually retired. Fred was also passionate about helping and rescuing cats with his sister Iris.

There will be a Graveside Service for Fred held on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina, 29406.
