

Hubert, known as Hugh or Papa to his family and friends, was born December 25th, 1920, in Abbeville, SC. He was predeceased by his son, Terry Keller (Jennie), parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Hugh is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Annette Reagan Keller, and his children Kenneth Keller (Carey), Susan Keller Childress (Steve), and Karen Keller Savage (Johnny), his 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Hugh was a WWII (April 1944 to May 1946) and Korean War (November 1950 to October 1951) Veteran, proudly having served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his honorable discharge from the service, Hugh became an electrician and later a planner and estimator at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, from which he retired in 1978.
He was a member of Ferndale Baptist Church (Foster Creek) where he served his Lord as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
It brought Hugh great pleasure to spend his life surrounded by his family. Among his favorite times was to celebrate his birthday and Christmas each year with the sounds of laughter, joy, and love.
Services for Hugh will be held at Carolina Funeral Home & Gardens (7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC 29406). The viewing will be from 11:00 – 12:30 with funeral services to follow immediately after from 12:30 to 1:00. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please consider making a donation to Foster Creek Baptist Church (901 Foster Creek Rd, Hanahan, SC 29410) in Hugh’s name to honor his memory.
