Jackie was born on May 1, 1938 to Vere and Daisie Lowther in St. Lawrence, SD. He spent 21 years in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He also served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Middle East. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Lowther; one daughter, Michele Brown (Eddie); one grandson, Michael; one brother, Robert and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service with full military honors will take place on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
