James Cumbee

Relatives and friends of Jimmy Cumbee are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.

Jimmy was born in North Charleston, South Carolina, on March 6, 1948. He was the son of James and Bessie Cumbee. Early in his career, he was a firefighter for North Charleston. Jimmy loved hunting, fishing and golfing and anything outdoors. He loved flowers and gardening. He especially loved his only grandson, Jayden. Most of his working life, he traveled as a truck driver. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Cindy Lowe and his grandson, Jayden. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his brothers, Jasper, George, Gene and Tooter and his sister, Lorraine.
