
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva “Gene” Mitchell, his stepfather, John W. Mitchell, his grandparents, Lucille and Clyde Enloe, and his biological father, Fred Deese. He is survived by his cousins Margie “Janet” Head and Kimberly Soloman, both from Goose Creek, Pam Wheeler, Richmond, Virginia, and Kathie Smith from Dallas, Texas. Michael is also survived by his beloved circle of friends Randy Johnson, Maria McCurry, Donald Charpia, John Schaller, and Steve Biggerstaff.
Micheal was employed at Ethan Allen where he took great pride in helping people in choosing the right décor for their homes. He also worked for the railroad, the Polo Shop and AJ Davis Clothing Co., in downtown Charleston. He was kind and generous to everyone. He loved to socialize, and he was always up for going out to eat or to a party. He loved to shop and he dressed to impress.
Michael will be remembered for his wonderful laugh, his kindness, and his love of life. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A private service will be held to honor Michael’s life.
