James Michael Justice Jr.

James Michael Justice JR (Michael), age 55 of Greeleyville SC, passed away at home surrounded by family on March 18, 2024. Michael courageously fought cancer through treatments, pain, and moments of hope until his last breath.

Michael was a 1986 graduate of Goose Creek High School. A previous employer of Cullum Mechanical Construction, Charleston Naval Shipyard, Southeastern Container, and Robert Bosch. Michael grew up in the Oaks Subdivision. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, boxing, and playing softball. Michael played 2nd base for a countless number of Men’s Softball Teams around the Lowcountry for over two decades. Michael was a member of the Good Cheer Hunting Club in Harleyville. Michael shared his passion for the outdoors and playing softball with his greatest achievement, his daughter, Mackenzie.

Michael is survived by his daughter Mackenzie Justice (Sunshine) of Summerville, SC. His mother Shron Justice Tisdale (step father Thurmond Tisdale), his brother and sister in law Barry and Joyce Justice, step brothers Brice Tisdale (Christie) and Jim Tisdale. Three nephews and one niece all of Greeleyville, SC. His special friend and former spouse, Melissa Justice of Ridgeville, SC., and his three loyal companions, Bailey, Cooper and Ranger.

Michael was predeceased by his father, James Michael Justice SR, his grandmother Geraldine Poplin, and his grandparents Worlie and Bonnie Crumley of North Charleston, SC.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funerals & Cremation, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Funeral Services will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM in the Chapel. The Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM following the services.
