Jimmy will be missed greatly. What a sweet soul. My condolences to his amazing family and friends.

We both collected war memorabilia and would check in with each other often on our cool new finds. I’ll miss those visits!

My deepest condolences to the Wagner family. Being a civilian employee, I didn't really get to see Jimmy in action but I know that he was every bit the warrior that his fellow officers speak of. The gentle giant is who I came to know and will never forget. I remember his kindness and how he cared about people. His infectious smile, wide eyes, and hugs especially if he hadn't seen you in a while. I remember how he would walk us to our cars if it was dark to make sure that we were safe. Jimmy Wagner was a genuinely good person and we're all better for having known him. RIP Wagner you will be greatly missed.

It’s so much darker when a light goes out than if it had never shined at all. Jimmy was such a bright light and so many are better for having known him.
Rest easy....

We are a sum of the people we spend the most time with. Jimmy and I spent a whole lot of time together, on and off the job...and I am a better man because of it. His loyalty as a friend and partner were unmatched. Jack, Ma Wags, Diane, Becky and the rest of the family - Thank you for sharing him, and please know that each of you are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I'll never forget walking into my dorm room my freshmen year, there's Jimmy, arm's the size of my thighs and an even bigger smile. Man he had a heart of gold, and if you had the privilege of being his friend, you had a friend for life. I always said Jimmy was the the kind of guy that would step in front of a car for you , so I can only imagine what kind of partner he was on the force. We had some great times, memories that'll last forever. I loved him like a brother. Rest in peace Jimmy.

One of the best and most fun I ever worked with. Started my career alongside Jimmy and a handful of other truly incredible cops. Man, he was larger than life! Thoughts and prayers to the Wagner’s!
