Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Carolina Funeral Home and Gardens.
Funeral services will be held 11;00am Monday, August 24, 2026 at Carolina Funeral Home and Gardens. with David Coleman, retired pastor of Crowfield Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Funeral Home and Gardens.
Janice was born in Blackville, SC to William L. and Maggie C. Grubbs on January 14, 1939. She went to school at North Charleston High School. She married Raymond E. Williams on July 26, 1957 in Charleston, SC.
Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. She loved camping, doing her word searches and bowling but what brought her the most joy was rocking babies.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Raymond E. Williams, her parents William L. Grubbs and Maggie C. Grubbs, her sister Louise Spangler and brothers Louis Grubbs and Billy Grubbs.
Janice is survived by her daughters, Cindy Powers (Guy), Diane Valentine (Chuck), her grandchildren Nicole Valentine Poole (Jeremy), Kevin Powers (Sara), Bradley Powers (Tiffany) and Great-Grandchildren Kaylin Byrn, Charlotte Byrn, Emma Powers, Aria Powers and Gabriel Powers, Sister- in- laws, Dixie Grubbs and Maple Williams, many nieces and nephews and her special life-long friend, David Rush.
Flowers will be accepted and Memorials may be given to the Elevator Fund at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek 141 St. James Ave Goose Creek, SC 29445.
The family of Janice wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the staff at Gentiva Hospice. They took amazing care of her during the last few months of her life and the family is forever grateful for their guidance and support.
