Jason D Holt

Born April 21, 1928, in Conway, he was the 2nd of 6 children born to the late Leo Davis and Docia Lea (Todd) Holt. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, John Frank and Mattie Blanche (Bryant) Todd. Twice married, he was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Esta Baker in 2007 and is survived by his wife of 15 years, Patricia Anne Holt.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at North Charleston United Methodist Church, 1125 East Montague Ave. North Charleston, SC 29405. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Charleston United Methodist Church, or to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Box 271118, Flower Mound, TX 75027-1118.

After completing high school, he joined the Army Air Corps in 1946 and served 21 years in the US Air Force retiring in 1967. In 1962, he was honored to be named Outstanding Airman of the year for the Caribbean Air Command. He was a 1975 graduate of Baptist College (now Charleston Southern University) with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting.

He was a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School and served in many capacities as long as his health permitted. He was a 60-year member of the Masons, being associated with Hammerton Lodge in North Charleston. He was also a member of the Royal Arch Masons, Royal and Select Masons, and Knights Templar Commandery of Charleston.

He is survived by daughters, Linda Jenny (Charlie) of Simpsonville, Diane Dildine of Ladson and stepdaughter Suzi Hall (John) of Fairmont, WV; grandchildren, Kevin Carter, Kristen Whitworth (Michael), Robert Jenny (Morgan), Ryan Parker (Nikki), Erica Andal (Phil), Tyler Dildine and step-grands Loki, Persephone, and Rhapsody Hall; 8 great-grands; 5 step-great-grands as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by 2 sisters; 3 brothers and a half-brother.
