Jayne Elledge Frend

Born November 11, 1958, in Wiltshire, England, Jayne was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Mavis Elledge. She carried with her the warmth, humor, and grace of her English roots throughout her life.

Jayne is survived by her devoted husband, Charles R. Frend; her children, Steven (Megan) of Las Vegas, NV, Nick (Rachel) of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Leah (Megan) of Columbia, VA, along with their father and her former husband, Emmett S. Pagett of Ehrhardt, SC; as well as her stepchildren, Charles Jr. (Sandra) of Washington, DC, and Dustin (Rachelle) of Fort Worth, TX.

She is also survived by her brothers, Wayne (Pat) of Knoxville, TN, and David (Maureen) of Hanahan, SC; and is lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A loving grandmother known affectionately as “Nana,” Jayne cherished her grandchildren: Ashlynn, Kelsey, Gracie, Nathan, Parker, Averie, Willa, Asher, Liliane, Lucas, and Emme. She loved her family more than anything and made sure that the distance between them was never more than a phone call away. Her family was her heart, and her devotion to them will forever be remembered.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC. A Life Well Celebrated Service will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the COPD Foundation in Jayne’s memory.

Jayne will be remembered for her gentle spirit and her ability to make everyone feel at home. Her laughter, warmth, and love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
