Jean B. Nankivell

Jean Bush Nankivell, 98, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of E Roy Nankivell, Jr passed away on April 10, 2019. Her celebration of life service will be held Monday, April 15 at 1:00 pm at Point Hope United Methodist Church, 3404 Turgot Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC. A memorial service will be held at Somerby of Mt. Pleasant, 3100 Tradition Circle on April 17 at 2pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Athens, Tennessee.
Jean was born October 29, 1920 in Chestnut Hill, Tennessee, daughter of Henry Claude Bush and Amy Caton Bush. She graduated from the University of Tennessee and was a dietician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She and her husband, Roy, were married for 68 years before his passing in 2014. Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother and served her communities in many volunteer capacities. She was an amazing cook, homemaker, avid reader and had a special ability to make true friends wherever she went in life. She was inspirational to a very large family, her children’s friends and friends she made in Tennessee, Florida and South Carolina. She and Roy were especially active at Keith Memorial United Methodist Church in Athens, Tennessee.
She is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen (Edward) Keil, Rebecca (Russell) Tiller and Elizabeth (Anthony) Wilson; a brother Allen (Ann) Bush; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nathan, Matt, Stuart, Amy and Laura; great grandchildren, Lindsey, Wilson, Karsyn, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Colton, Mary Jude, James and Henry. Her brother Condon ( Betsey) Bush predeceased her.
