Jimmie, or "Pops" as he was known by many, lived life to the fullest. First and foremost, he loved his family. His son, Brady and grandchildren, Kyle and Daniel, were the most important things in his life, along with his daughter-in-law Judy. He had a passion for fishing and loved to share his time taking and teaching others.
Jimmie worked in RADCON at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He loved his job and attacked it with a relentless pursuit of perfection. He attained the highest award a civil servant can receive, and he was very proud of that accomplishment.
He was married to the late Marilyn Hair for 53 years. He was dedicated to her and they shared many wonderful years together.
Jimmie grew up in North Charleston with his brothers and sister, who he loved dearly. They had a special bond that allowed them to succeed despite some difficult times. He remained close and devoted to them his entire life.
Jimmie is survived by his son Brady Hair and his wife Judy; his grandsons Kyle Hair and Daniel Hair; his sister Betty Jean Eckert; his brothers Hubert Hair, and his wife Marla, and Frankie Hair; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his loving wife Marilyn Hair; his parents Moy and Fannie Mae Hair; and his brother Charles Hair.
A Visitation will be held for Jimmie at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. A Chapel service will be held the following day on Friday September 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm, burial will follow immediately after at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
