IN THE CARE OF
Carolina Funeral Home & Gardens
Joe Andrew Herron, Jr, 40, of Goose Creek, South Carolina sadly left us on March 15th, 2023. Joe was born on May 19th, 1982 to the late Joe Andrew Herron Sr of Goose Creek, SC and Joey & Sonia Brewer of Bonneau, SC. He graduated from Goose Creek High School in 2000 and worked as a pipefitter, journeyman and foreman, last employed with Stellar Group in Indiana.
Joe is survived by: his loving wife, Ruby Herron; two sons: Joe “LJ” Andrew Herron III and Reece Ryan Payne; daughter: Ittai Slate Payne; sisters: Vicky Lynn Miller, Angie (Robby) Baldwin, Suzette (Earl) Dunlap, Victoria (Damien) Agbayani, Jo Anne (Trevor) Craft, Sonia Joe Herron, Rachael (Brad) Woods and Leslie Brewer; nieces and nephews: Skylar, Bobby (Esteban), Wyatt (Sarah), Taylor (Cody), Garrett, Mallory, Teshon, Destiny, Daryl, Sebastian, Isaiah, Deja, Tori, Trevor, Ashleigh, Joseph, Benjamin, Kaelob, Skylinn, Asher, Wesleigh, Vara and an expected nephew in July.
Joe was a loyal and loving son, husband, brother, uncle, father, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. His crooked smile and hearty laugh were infectious, he gave the greatest bear hugs, and he was a goofball. He enjoyed watching sports, working on cars, and hanging with his friends and family in his spare time. He had a passion for wrestling and was accredited for 2nd at nationals many times, and currently still holds 3 place titles at Goose Creek High School, he continued to follow local talent and their stats. He loved to lighten the mood in awkward situations and made those around him laugh. As he traveled for work throughout the years, friends he made often turned into family. No matter where he would go, he was respected for his journeyman level expertise and helped to evolve helpers into apprentices and apprentices into real hands. He had the answer to any question and said the only silly one was the one not asked. His capacity of love for those around him knew no bounds. Joe had a light that was brighter than any star that shined in the sky. He doted over his family and would never be afraid to let them know that he loved them. He will forever be, in our hearts, loved, and missed, by all that knew him.
