John M. Cherba

John M. Cherba, 91, of Charleston entered eternal rest Sunday, February 26, 2017. He leaves his wife of 39 years, Gordonia Cherba; son John Matt Cherba Jr; Step-sons Mark Requidan, wife Rachel and Michael Requidan, Grandchildren, Nicole, Madeline, Tre, and Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents John F. Cherba and Rose Polick Cherba, and son Michael Cherba. Born in Milwaukee, WI, John joined the US Army Air Corp and proudly served our country in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He lived a long and fulfilled life surrounded by his loved ones. A visitation service for family and friends will be held Sunday, March 5, from 3pm to 5pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. A Requiem Mass will be held the following day, Monday, March 6, 10am at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1106 Fort Dr, Hanahan, SC. Inurnment to follow atCarolina Memorial Park.
