John W. Skipper

John is survived by his wife, Linda and two daughters: Brenda Chiasson (Robert) and Shelly Sanders (Grady). Four grandsons, Austin (Amanda), Sean, Ross (Kimberly) and Ryan (Jenny). His three great grandchildren: Braiden West, Lucas and Emilia Chiasson. Also, his sisters Edith Black and Tammy Cobb.

John is preceded in death by his mother Nellie (Sellers) Skipper, his father John H. Skipper, his two brothers: Roger and James Skipper and a sister Willie Mae Helms.

John graduated from Murray Vocational High School where he learned a trade in mechanics. He worked for 36 years at Lockheed Georgia, as a bonded assembly worker and did some supervision. He retired in 1997. After retirement he enjoyed woodworking and restoring used computers. John enjoyed watching football and car racing. He was a member of the Church of God in Goose Creek. He was best known for his wittiness.

A Visitation will be held on November 18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. A Celebration of Life will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. The Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
