Larry is also remembered fondly by Ms. Hilda Burns of Leeds, AL.
While in the marines, stationed overseas in London, England, he met his future wife, Mavis Brazenor in November 1951. They married in September 1953 in London and eventually moved back to the States where they were happily married for over 62 years.
During these 62 years, they lived in various states and overseas duty stations, raising three children and forming numerous long term friendships. In 1972, Hanahan, South Carolina was the last and final residence of the Elledge’s.
Whether serving his Country, protecting Presidents, chasing smugglers or raising his family, he did it to his fullest.
Larry was the original “practical joker”, enjoying pulling a prank on a neighbor, friend or family.
