Lola was born in Gary, Indiana, on October 5, 1952. She was the daughter of McDowell and Nannie Porter.
Lola loved the Lord! Lola loved her family like no other and would do anything for them plus more. She loves her husband and he loves her. She spent her life bringing people to the Lord and making sure everyone knew him. Lola knew at a very young age that she wanted to serve the Lord. She gave her life to the Lord and walked daily in his authority. Lola put on the whole armor of God and went out to spread the gospel. She joined the Air Force and had the pleasure of traveling all over the world. The military gave her the ability to teach people about the Lord. Throughout her career she was dedicated to both the military and the Lord, and she knew that all great things came from the Lord.
She has touched millions of lives. Lola was the one everyone called to get prayed for. She was doing the Lord’s work no matter where she was. Eventually, she retired as Chief Master Sergeant, a trailblazer, the First Female, Black or White in her career field to make the prestigious rank of Chief. She wanted to work for the Lord full-time and that’s what she did. She started her outreach ministry - Covenant of Love Ministries. She never wanted to be in a brick and mortar.
Lola felt the people outside of the churches need to be brought in, so she traveled across the world spreading the good news. Her hobby was teaching people about the word of God. Preaching in mostly Muslim countries, she was never afraid. When we see her in heaven she will still tell us all about Jesus and how he prepared a mansion for her.
