Ernestine gave her life to Christ when she was young. She was a faithful wife for 52 years until he passed away. She gave birth to six children who thought of her as the “Best Mother Ever”. She put her family first by taking care of them and teaching them about God’s love and how he wanted them to treat others. She led by example. Once they became teenagers, she went to night school and got her high school diploma. She was offered a part time job at Belks Department Store. She became a full-time employee because of her work ethics. She stayed there until she retired. She cared for some of her grandchildren and great grands. She also taught them about the Lord and how to become Christian. She did what the Lord commanded her to do “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 The children’s friends thought of her as a godly mom. She never met a stranger and alway spoke kind words to everyone. She has been a member for Heritage Holiness Church for 51 years.
