Lowell retired from the US Air Force where he served as a flight engineer. Afterwards he attended Midlands Technical college and received degrees in Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC. Lowell went on to work in the Charleston Naval Shipyard in the Calibration Shop. Lowell was born in Jefferson, Maine, but made South Carolina his home.
Lowell was predeceased by his loving wife of 73 years. He is survived by his daughter, Rena Burns Amonson. There will be a Celebration of Life service on September 5, 2025, at 4 pm at the Heritage Holiness Church in Ladson, South Carolina.
