Madalyn Sue Shipman

Sue will be remembered as a kindhearted, compassionate and caring person. She loved her family and enjoyed being involved in their lives, her breakfast group, church family and going to pops concert with her sister Sally.

Pre-deceased by her husband James William Shipman Jr., parents Henry and Inez Strickland, brother Perry Strickland, daughter Bonnie Gates (Jack).

Survived by her son Mark Shipman (Ginger), sister Sally Richardson (late husband Travis), grandchildren Tressie Craven (C.T.), Lindsay Riollano (late husband Joey), Hollis Harsey (Chris), Ashton Cook (DJ), Jamie Shipman (Brittney), great grandchildren Johnny Joyner, Erik Riollano, Hayden Fuse, Nash Shipman, Easton Cook, Knox Shipman, Saylor Cook, Greer Shipman, Labrador Marley and many loving friends.

Sue retired as an International Customs Broker with the Robert Bosch Company. She was a dedicated member of Aldersgate Methodist Church.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 1:30 pm in Carolina Memorial Garden Valor Section. Family will receive quests following the graveside service at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Reception Hall.

Sue will be sadly missed by family and friends.
