Mrs. Mae Hazel Edwards

Mae Hazel Finch Edwards,89, of Goose Creeks, SC, was promoted to heavenly glory from her home in Goose Creek, SC, on June 8, 2015, amid the loving care of her four daughters: Claudia (David) Brien, Beth (Paul) Waymaster of Goose Creek, SC, Nina Edwards of Grayling, MI and Martha (Chuck) Jones of Summerville, SC. Mae was born July 27, 1925 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the late Earl Finch and Nina Beltz Cook Finch. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Claud Edwards, sisters: Orvella Cook Pratt and Mary Beth Finch Shaw, and brothers: Fred Cook, Edward Finch and Jack Finch. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Mae believed in and loved Jesus Christ, and was an excellent example of a Christian to all who knew her. She was a former active member of the Silvercrest Baptist Church in Waterford, MI, the First Baptist Church of Pontiac, MI, the First Baptist Church of Holly Hill, SC ((where her son-in-law served as pastor), and was a member and supporter of the Crowfield Baptist Church in Goose Creek, SC. Her faith in God never wavered, and she was always glad to hear about how God was working. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at the Crowfield Baptist Church, 100 Hunters Lane, Goose Creek, SC 29445, at 3:00 pm on Sunday June 14, 2015. The family will receive gust one hour prior to the service at the church. It is requested that memorials be given to the church’s building fund and may be mailed to Crowfield Baptist Church , 100 Hunters Lane, Goose Creek, SC 29445.
