

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Magdaleno’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 1:00PM at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, Hanahan. The Rite of Committal will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, December 9, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
Born on May 29, 1931, in Cavite, Philippines, Magdaleno was the beloved son of the late Antanacio and Barcelisa Morga. A man of deep faith and family values, Magdaleno dedicated his life to serving others through both his professional work and personal endeavors.
After immigrating to the United States, Magdaleno built a long and rewarding career in the U.S. Navy, followed by years working in the private sector for Revco Pharmacy, then for the VA Hospital, where in each he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike for his integrity, skill, and unwavering commitment. In his retirement, Magdaleno enjoyed spending time with his family, and volunteering at his church, leaving a legacy of kindness and community spirit.
Magdaleno is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alicia Morga, and their children: Antonio Morga of Charleston, SC, Stephen Morga (Suzanne) of Blackstone, VA, and Jesse Morga (the late Fallon) of Charleston, SC. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Ronald Morga, Jr., David Morga and Rebecca Morga, and great-grandchild, Amir Morga.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald P. Morga of Summerville, SC.
Magdaleno’s warmth, wisdom, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
