Marjory was a strong and determined individual. This was evident in the way she lived her life. She enjoyed being a military wife and became a United States citizen shortly after arriving in the United States.
Marjory never met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation with anyone as if she had known them all her life. She had a jovial personality with a quick sense of humor and boy could she talk…lol 😊
Marjory always had a wonderful story to tell. Whether it was growing up in Scotland or traveling to different countries with her husband, Joe.
Second to her family her greatest love was animals, especially horses. It started with her first horse Misty and continued through her life. It was even arranged to have a horse visit her at the hospice facility. She often said taking care of horses is what kept her strong.
Marjory was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Joe, and her brother Stanley McLean. She is survived by her three children son Steven Murdoch (Sherard Ann), daughter Donella Patterson (Dale Sr.), grandchildren Dale Jr. (Allison) and Christina Patterson. Great grandchildren Hannah and Mavrick, son Scott Murdoch, brother Norman McLean (Sheila). Sister-in law Avril McLean along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406, on Thursday May 29, 2025, from 1pm to 2pm, followed by a chapel service at 2pm. Marjory will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Gardens after the service.
