Martha Wilkinson

Martha Ann Wilkinson, age 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 25, 2025 at her home in Moncks Corner, SC surrounded by family. She was born September 26, 1937, in Greer, SC, to the late Edith and Woodrow B. Painter.

Martha Ann attended Greer High School, then married her late husband, Donald E. Wilkinson, immediately following high school. Shortly after, her and her husband Don moved to Charleston, SC, where she spent the remainder of her life. Martha Ann was a proud resident of North Charleston, SC where she raised five children and was a neighborhood mother to many more. She was a Master Seamstress and homemaker. Martha Ann was very outgoing and loved being involved with her family and community.

Martha Ann is survived by her son, Kenny Wilkinson (Patrice) of North Charleston, SC; her two daughters: Vicki Chamberlain (Sonny) of Summerville, SC and Teresa Denaux (Sparky) of Moncks Corner, SC; as well as her sister Naomi Palmer (Jeff &Brian) of Summerville, SC; she also leaves behind her many grandchildren: Tony Wilkinson, Jr, Kim Jackson, Kerri Bardon, Curtis Chamberlain (Heather), Brett Denaux (Allie), Bryce Denaux; and great grandchildren: Blaine, Koby, Kanaan, Grace, Brooke, D.J., Elizabeth Lauren, Kyntlei, Jaxson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Martha is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald E. Wilkinson, and two sons, Donny Wilkinson and Tony Wilkinson of North Charleston, SC; as well as her grandson, lil’ Kenny Wilkinson; and great grandson Kyle.

A graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park, located at 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406, on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 1:00PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.
