Mary Ann Weber Riggs (90) left her earthly home to be with our heavenly father on February 21, 2021.
She was born in Lincoln, NB and married the love of her life, Owen Riggs.
The military life brought them to Hanahan, SC along with their family. Mary Ann worked as an assistant manager at Montgomery Ward for years before helping open the Wal-Mart on Rivers Avenue, where she retired from. She was a trailblazer as a female in leadership positions that she held and was very proud of her accomplishments. She and her husband were one of the founding families of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Hanahan and were parishioners for many years. Although Mary Ann had many accomplishments, she was most proud of her family.

To the family of Mary Riggs, I am so sorry for your loss. The video tribute is so sweet. The pictures of Mary and Owen made me cry. I especially like the cheerleading picture! I have such fond memories of the most wonderful childhood, growing up next door to the Riggs family. We were truly Blessed! I love all of you always! God Bless You! Catherine Giles (Cathy Sompayrac)
