Munford “Scotty” Jeter, of Summerville entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2015. Scotty was born March 11, 1932 in Wilmington, NC to the late Harold H. and Elizabeth Scott Jeter. Scotty proudly served in the United States Army, retiring after 20 years. Scotty graduated from the Citadel, and the University of Arkansas. He was a member of Kiwanis and the Commander of Powder Squadron. After retirement from the Army, Scotty was a professor for Limestone College. Survivors include his wife, Doris Baxter Jeter of 58 years; one son, Col. Ray Scott Jeter (Carol); two grandchildren, Britton Jeter and Claire Jeter.
