A visitation will be held at 9:00 am, on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 am.
A Committal Service will be held afterward at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Myra was born in Charleston, SC, on April 10, 1947, to Travis York Pigott and Mary Perkins Pigott. She grew up in the Charleston area and attended Chicora Elementary and High School. Myra worked in the Industrial Relations Offices of the Charleston Naval Shipyard until she retired.
Myra was a genuine, generous, and kind person that did not hesitate to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Mary Pigott; stepmother, Thelma Salisbury Pigott; sister, Patricia Gail Hinson Guest; brother, Ronald Gene Hinson; and sister-in-law, Shirley Hamilton Hinson.
Myra is survived by her sisters, Mary Pigott Mimms, Hope Archer Lewis, and Donna (Rich) Pigott Walker; brother, Wayne Cecil Hinson; a niece; numerous nephews; and a host of additional family members and friends to cherish her memories.
The Family of Myra Harmon would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the staff of White Oak Manor for the care and love given to Myra during her time with them. We know that her being a believer in Christ means that she is now home and whole with the Lord.
