Newell Tracy Campbell

Newell “Soupy” Tracy Campbell, age 81, of Summerville, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Newell was born October 19, 1940 in Lexington, KY. Newell is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Campbell; his daughter Theresa Young (Robert); 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Newell was Veteran who served in the United States Navy for 30 years and retired as a Command Master Chief. He worked on many Submarines as the Chief of the Boat. In his free time Newell loved bass fishing, watching Nascar races, playing the slot machines, and the Ohio State Buckeyes were his team. After retiring from the military Newell ran the N.C.O.A and was a member of the Sub. Vets group. Newell will forever be loved and missed by those who knew him. A visitation will be held for Newell at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday August 9, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held the following day on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Military Honors to follow at the graveside. 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
