Ma Jean was a great mother-in-law. She always treated me like a blood daughter. She was kind and helpful and always looked out for our best interests. When Danny and I were first together, she shared a lot of tips with me about how to successfully camp that were invaluable to a novice like me. If we went on a trip, she was always ready with a "travel" bag for us with sandwiches and snacks to munch on the road. And she always welcomed our pups to come play and be spoiled at Grandma Jean's house.
I will surely miss her, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Godspeed Ma Jean. I am sure that Arnold and Danny greeted you as you entered heaven.

Mrs. Coffman (Jean Duck) was one of the kindest person I know. She made high school fun. She was EXTREMELY BRAVE, she HAD to be to take a group of Seniors on a cruise to the Bahamas. Even though we were young she ALWAYS treated us with RESPECT and we RESPECTED her back. And SOMEHOW, She managed to maintain her SANITY. She was loved by all. Rhonda, you are so much in my thoughts and prayers but just know that your mom left a POSITIVE impact on a LOT of us and Thank you for sharing YOUR MOM with all of us!

My dear friend, words fail me. Jean was a second mom to so many Hanahan High School students. She was a great co-worker, traveling companion, and an all-around caring, special person. She and Arnold were the first friends to travel to Alaska to visit me after I left HHS. Thank you for all the fond memories, Jean! May you Rest In Peace and in the arms of Arnold and Danny once again. Rhonda and Michael, may you find comfort in knowing she led a full life happy in the knowledge that her children built good lives for themselves and their families. Her spirit and kindness will live on in the many lives she touched. 💔
