Ola Belle Miller Jackson, 81, of Moncks Corner, SC, widow of Gerald (Jerry) Carlyle Jackson died at home on Saturday, January 12, 2019. Born on November 27, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Henry Jefferson Miller and Janie Gibbs Miller of Vinton, VA. She was a retired guidance counselor secretary at Hanahan High School.
Ola found joy in serving others through activities such as her church sewing group, Meals on Wheels, the children’s nursery, and the Roscoe Reading Program. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Ola is survived by her sons Gerald Carlyle (Carl) Jackson , Jr. (Lisa) and David Allen Jackson (Jackie); five grandchildren Anna Jackson Rogers (Caleb), Travis (Jackie), Melissa, Rebecca, and Jamie; two great-grandchildren Rynn Rogers and Jackson Rogers; two sisters Melba Miller Brugh (Bill) and Alice Miller Leffell (Phillip); one sister-in-law Gerry Miller-Snyder (David). She is predeceased by her husband, parents, and brothers Glenn J. Miller and Ray D. Miller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 19,2019 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave. Life Well Celebrated Service will take place on Sunday, January 20, 2019 , 2 pm at the Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Drive. Hanahan. Entombment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church.
