P "Jackie" Vickery

Phyllis “Jackie” Vickery, 78 of Hanahan, SC. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2026. Jackie was born on February 24, 1948 at Roper Hospital to the late Frank & Ruby Vickery in Charleston, SC. She is survived by her sister Frankie V. Kennedy of Hanahan, SC and her niece Shawn Kennedy Lackey of North Charleston, SC. She is preceded in death by her father Frank Levi Vickery and her Mother Ruby Watt Vickery.

Jackie was raised in North Charleston in Liberty Homes, went to Berry Elementary and North Charleston High School then graduated from Murray Vocational High School in 1967. Jackie worked at Evelyn’s Beauty Salon as a Cosmetologist for a few years. Then she worked at MUSC in Security Office for 20 years. Jackie loved spending time with her family and her dogs were like her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Charleston where she was saved and baptized. Jackie enjoyed taking trips to their family vacation home in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and seeing the beautiful mountains.

A visitation will be on April 11, 2026 at 1pm at Pittman Street Baptist Church, 5105 Pittman Street, North Charleston SC 29405 with Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2pm. Graveside service at 3pm at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406.
