Born in Brentwood, NY, Mrs. Vargas, a lifelong resident of Queens, NY, before moving to Goose Creek, SC, with her husband, Ralph Vargas.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Madelyn Aksten and stepfather, Walter Skelly and wife of the late Ralph Vargas.
She is survived by her brother, Walter Skelly; sister, Theresa; her daughters, Linda Rotger, Lisa Martin, and Laura Martin; son, John Martin and wife Maureen Martin; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Burial will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, 3345 S Live Oak Dr, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday.
