

Phillip Steven Cahoon, 84, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kinston, North Carolina, in 1942, Phillip lived a life defined by honor, dedication to his country, and love for his family.
A proud veteran, Phillip served 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring at the rank of E-6. His service included deployment during the Vietnam War, and he carried his deep sense of duty, discipline, and patriotism throughout his entire life.
Following his military retirement, he worked at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He was also an active member of the Fraternal Order of Police, sharing a strong bond of camaraderie with fellow officers and public servants.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patrica after 51 years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter, Gina Meads (husband Chris), and two sons, Phillip L. Cahoon (wife Candace) and Paul Cahoon (wife Sientay) along with 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by a brother, Allen Cahoon and sister Amelia Ann Cahoon.
