Rachael Vinison

Name: Rachael R. Vinson The will be a graveside service at 11AM Saturday, July 16, at Carolina Memorial Park in Charleston, SC for Rachael R. Vinson of Attalla (formerly of Charleston, South Carolina) who passed away on July 9, 2016. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Carolina Memorial Funeral Home will direct arrangements. Rachael was a native of Gadsden and had moved to South Carolina at the age of 16. She had work with Comcast, Charleston SC, as a technician Specialist for over 30 years. She was a dedicated employee and regarded her coworkers as family. She was a caring and giving person who lived animals. She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Vinson; parents Maudie Smith and Wallace Smith; two brothers and two sisters. Rachael is survived by her daughter: Angela (Charles) Hewitt; grandchildren Elisha Craig, Kelli Smith, and Heath Hewitt; brothers Millard “Pete” (Marie) Smith and Richard (Carolyn) Smith; and several nieces and nephews and she loved them as her own. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors from Building 8 White Oak Village. Special thanks to the Attalla First responders for their care and patience. Please do not send flowers. The family would prefer memorials be made to the Etowah County Humane Society, 4200 Brooke Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35904. The family will receive friends at Morgan Funeral Chapel, in Attalla, AL from 4 until 6pm Thursday afternoon.
