He was born December 19, 1935 in Meggett, South Carolina, to the late Henry and Viola Schultz of North Charleston.
He was preceded in death by his wife Celeste Thanos Schultz; brother Henry Marion Schultz Jr. and sister Georgianna Heatley.
Raymond loved the Lord, his family, wood working, fishing, and his dogs. Raymond had many hobbies, including making furniture, walking canes, wood trinkets, puzzles, etc. He was a person that loved giving his handmade items to others. Woodworking was in his soul. He spent many hours working in his garage making trinkets or making/repairing furniture. One of his favorite passions was going to craft fairs to see all the handmade items, attending boat shows, and seeing old friends.
Raymond retired from Westvaco Paper Mill after 42 years of service as well as he served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Schultz; nephews, Michael (Marie) Schultz, Ivan (Linda) Schultz; nieces Jill Schultz and Jenny (Gary) Schultz; nephews Bubba (Virginia) Heatley, Henry William (Susan) Heatley, Phillip (Libby) Heatley and nieces Theresa Parker, and Sharon (Hugh) Alexander, as well as many cousins, extended family members, and many beloved friends.
