She is survived by her sister, Thelma Buss; 5 children: Shannon Horton, Mary Biering, Faye Johnson (Don Johnson), Ken Pope (Sue Pope), and Lisa Chavis (Marvin Chavis); 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, James Brown; 2 brothers: Nathan Rushton and Junior Rushton; and her granddaughter, Sandra Reves.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 11:00am at Carolina Memorial Gardens at 7113 River Avenue in North Charleston.
