Sandy was a good friend in high school in the mid-1960s. We sang in the youth choir together at North Charleston United Methodist Church, where her mother, Anne Gay, played the piano and led the youth choir. Sandy loved to tease her brother, Woody. I have many fond memories of those days--they were a very kind family.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms Kramer in the nursing home. I got to know her pretty well and enjoyed helping her get her showers done and listening to any stories that I could get out of her. She became pretty anxious often and I enjoyed sitting with her and reassuring her. She never hesitated to let me know what she needed and she often wanted me to hurry up and get what she wanted. I loved her idiosyncrasies and interacting with her. She was my buddy. I’ll miss her I’m sad I didn’t get to say goodbye. I know she’s in a better place resting go with those that have gone before her like her mother she talked about.
